    Good evening,

my washing machine zanussi TL Advantage 800 broke down 🙁

When I turn it on, it fills the drum with water ( which is OK ) and then starts spinning fastly !! After a while (less than second, I’d say) the spinning is stopped and that’s all the washing machine does nothing from that time. It makes sound like the motor in the timer is running, but nothing else is hapenning.

Sticker on the machine says: TL ADV 800, typ 25P22353, prod nr.: 999 99 99-43.

I’ve put the timer away from the wascher and visually checked the PCB. Nothing seems burned or anyhow broken. Sticker on the timer says: AKO TYP 513 257, Timer without pcb: Type 514 0XX.

Does anyone know what’s wrong with it? I know that the wascher is quite old, but the bearings and motor seems still OK and I was not planning to buy a new one.

I’d also appreciate any technical information/datasheets/schematic diagram of the wascher or the timer and it’s PCB.

    Thank you,
    Zbynek, Czech republic

PS … sorry for my English.

    its a tacho problem

visual inspection of the motor is required for loose/broken tacho or broken wires

    Seems like you’re right !!

I’ve measured the tacho´s resistance and it is about 7MOhms which seems quite big. I was expecting some kOhms.

So I assume that installing new tacho should solve my problem …

    Thank you very much !!

BTW … I did something really stupid while taking the timer out of the wascher – I did NOT make any notes describing the placement of the connectors on the PCB. Don’t you have any documentation describing the connection?
