    Hi,
I have just installed a second hand Electrolux EKC5044W standalone double-oven cooker for relatives. The two ovens are like new – look like they have never been used – only the ceramic hob shows signs of use.

All cooking functions are OK but the cooling fan is noisy. I think I will need to replace it. I assume it’s the cooling fan as it comes on whichever oven is used – and the top one is not a fan oven. The fan starts quietly but once up to speed a mechanical rattling noise starts. Not unbearable, but intrusive in a small kitchen.

I’m surprised that the fan bearings would have gone, as the ovens have never been used (maybe not used because of the noise!?). Might also be a loose mounting, or loose panel, though unlikely? (I assume this level of noise is not “normal”?).

Can anyone advise the steps to get access to and replace this fan, and/or any other checks I should do to confirm the diagnosis.

I think the partno for a replacement fan is Electrolux 3370000519.

    Many thanks for any advice.
