The dryer starts in the clockwise direction as normal, ad runs for approx 1 minute. It then stops and tries to turn in the anti clockwise direction. At this point it trips the RCD. Is it that the heater is switched on at this point? I haven’t checked the heater yet, as it is one of those with the wrap around cabinet, that is a complete strip down job. Has anyone come across this one please? Cheers. Steve.

One thing i would check which is very common on this model is the cooling fan motor mounted at bottom!! this gets damp from condensation,due 2 the condenser seals not sealing.
try drying motor out with hair dryer or temp disconnect it then run machine again
