    Hi, I have a hoover hnl6166 that will not run through the programs. Also when the selector dial is turned (to any position ) the drain pump immediately starts and runs continuously. The machine will complete a spin only cycle but the drain pump continues to run when the machine has stopped.

    anyone have any experience with machine

    Computer board has failed. You should replace the pump as well.

    Thanks for the reply Penguin45, when you say the computer board has failed, are you referring to the pcb ?
    sorry but im not very familiar with the components and im trying to ensure i order the correct parts to repair the machine

    Yup, computer board – top right, front. Switching triac will have failed in the closed position. If you’re an electronics whizz you may be able to fix it, otherwise replacement is your only option.
