Bosch SGV43A03GB/42 integrated dishwasher. FD 8303.

This machine has a really strange fault. Halfway through the cycle it drains the water and ‘blips’ the inlet valve. This in turn causes the pipes in the house to bang with the rapid on / off of the water pressure. It is so intermittent and unpredictable that it has cost me a lot of time just to see it happen. It seems to be around the point in the cycle when the machine drains during the rinses. I’ve come across Bosch dishwashers that do the pulsing valve fault but it’s usually a blocked water metering system and lower hose that causes it.
No sign of blockages, filters spotless, no leaks in the base…..everything works as it should. Turned the water pressure down to the machine: no different. I even changed the drain pump as it tended to do the pulsing around the time the machine drained. Customer says it’s a little better, but not solved.

I can only think PCB has a faulty relay; any ideas welcome. I am all out of answers on this one………. 🙁

    Any help appreciated!!

    Cheers,

    Steve.

sounds a bit like a faulty triac on the pcb

just needs to leak a small amount of current to trip inlet valves

i would trace the triac and try replacing it

change the fill hose to a normal rubber type, doesnt transmit the noise like the rock hard Bosch type do. Could be the cheapest easiest way out of it if the fill tripping is not causing any other issues.

    What a cracking idea, Mark….. 💡
Never thought of that!! Thanks – I’ll try a new hose and post back.

    Cheers,

    Steve.
