this will run for approx 2 seconds then cuts back to the clock on any microwave setting, had a quick look as I was there for the dw, mag looks fine pansonic version but not cracked magnet, any ideas as there are serveral boards

More than likely the inverter board, you may have to play safe and replace the magnetron as well.You could always megga the mag to check it.
MervHave you tried the microswitches when one latched goes over another latch misses the microswitch thus shutting oven down and any other combi setting.
Easily solved with some nylon washers
Don’t forget the internal 8/10a fuse too. If the main inverter board has gone , it’s more than likely taken the fuse out too.

Done many panasonic with these symtoms when panasonic agent.
always changed mag and inverter…. but obviously was getting them free from panasonic.
Expensive if not U/G.
I’ve done a few before but always had a knackered magnet on the mag and this tests fine and looks fine
