We have a Servis fridge which is pretty old, maybe 10 or more years. One of our lamps short circuited the house sending forcing the safety switch so everything was off. Fixed the lamp but a day later realised the fridge was not cooling and the freezer was defrosting. We could hear a clicking sound coming from the back of the fridge every couple of minutes. we waited a day more and decided to order a new fridge.
The new fridge arrives tomorrow but last night we noticed frost in the fridge and the freezer. There fridge does not close properly so frost always builds up and the freezer is not frost free. Checked it again this morning and it is still going.
What might have happened to it? Will it continue to work? I ask because I would rather freecyle it than have it disposed off tomorrow but I don’t want to freecycle a broken fridge/freezer either.
Any help appreciated.
