Hi, I’ve just joined and hope someone can solve a frustrating problem. We have a Neff ceramic hob with touch control. ENR T1323X0, FD 860500356. The child-proof lock has been activated unintentionally, probably, according to the instruction manual, by cleaning or leaving something on the on/off touch switch!
The problem is it won’t de-activate. Whenever it is switched on an illuminated key appears which only disappears if the on/off touch is kept pressed for several seconds. There is a complex procedure described in the instruction manaual of switching on all the hotplates to heat 2, then turning them off in sequence. I have tried this several times, but it will not de-activate the child-proof lock. Neff support have not been helpful.
Apart from this, the hob works fine, it is just a pain that we can’t switch it on quickly like we used to.
I hope someone out there has an easy solution. Thanks
