Customer said the machine tripped rcd and then came up f8 (diverter)
When i had a look at it there was a little bit of clean water in base. Not much not even enough to activate float. Could not find where water came from, all hoses and seals bone dry in fact it was squeeky clean. Didnt look like anything got wet enough to trip rcd. Tested diverter motor windings and had reading through it. Put it in test mode and as soon as it starts it comes up f8. Do you think this is just a replace diverter job and check for leaks? The water and rcd tripping is puzzeling me a bit. He said there was a lot of condensation under display screen. Forgot to say the guy had new diverter fitted 2 years ago after f8 came up.

    PS
What does the fan do? Does it blow out or suck in air through the vent during the drying stage?

    Thanks

Diverter valve seals leak regularly; they will throw the trip if the water gets on the microswitch next to the seal. I’ve replaced quite a few for that problem alone.

    Hope that helps,

    Steve.

Meter the valve motor. If o/c, instant F8.

As i said in my post i did meter the diverter motor and had a reading through it. I also squeezed the connector to it. Thats why i was a bit surprised when in test mode it went straight to f8.
