Hi, this is my first post here having just discovered this brilliant website. 😀 I’m moving into a house shortly and will need to purchase two ovens to fit into the spaces left by the built in appliances (Siemens) the vendors are taking with them 🙁 . The Siemens ovens are about 6 years old and look as good as new, however they do come with a hefty price tag. I want to get a single electric fan oven that cleans itself (pyroklean)and a seperate oven that can also be used as microwave/combi. I’ve narrowed it down to Bosch/Siemens or AEG brands. The AEG looks good, does just about the same but is slightly cheaper than the Siemens/Bosch. I have about £1300(a bit more if it’ll be worth it) to spend and would like to know which is likely to last longer/ be more reliable of the brands in your experience. Are there any particular models that can be reccommended or avoided? Thanks

    Hi bettyb

Help me out a little here please as I`m a little confused. And before anyone hijacks this thread, I know it doesn`t take much these days 😆

1st oven request is no problem I can understand your requirements.

Okay 2nd oven, are you looking for a single oven with a microwave and grill incorporated into it or a combination microwave which would have forced air cooking, microwave and grill?

Any preferance on colour as this will affect the total costings as well?

Hi Don, for the second oven I’ll go for a combination microwave with forced air cooking, microwave and grill. (Can these be used with forced air only to cook without the microwave facility if needed?). If not it’ll be the other option. I’m looking for a stainless steel model
    Thanks FYH

    Hi

Thanks for the info, Yes you can use the fan cooking option independant of the grill and the microwave. The only real drawback with them is that the grill units are not as effective as the grill on a single oven. That aside we have had a Bosch installed for a couple of years now with no trouble at all, there`s a recommendation for you 😉 good selection here from Bosch.

    HTH 🙂
