AEG or Neff – which is best?

    Hi,
    We are looking to buy a new double built-in oven and separate hob, and a new built-in fridge-freezer. Haven’t looked at any hobs yet, but have sort of narrowed the oven and freezer down to between:

    AEG:
    Double Oven, D 31016, (probably the stainless steel version)
    Fridge Freezer SC 9184251 I

    Neff:
    Double Oven, 3 Series U 15E42, (not sure yet whether s/steel or black)
    Fridge Freezer K 4204

    Any opinions/advice as to the pros and cons of any of these would be very much appreciated.

    AEG are part of the Electrolux group, the products are not the same as they used to be when AEG was a German brand. However they are still miles better than others out there.

    Neff are part of the BSH group of companies, it`s well documented on this site that I have a preference for their products having recently refitted our kitchen with Bosch and Neff throughout.

    As a retailer we sell more Neff integrated appliances than all of our other suppliers put together.

    Thanks for your reply Don. Our initial choice was Neff but I read a couple of slightly negative reviews about the fridge freezer I had been looking at, so was a bit unsure, but it’s interesting that you sell more Neff than all the others put together.

    My company does a lot of contract work for Electrolux Baltic. There are problems with AEG brand as with any but I will still have to recommend them over Neff/Bosch.

    The quality of the components used in the AEG products (mostly manufactured by LG in Korea) are generally of a higher standard.
