Participanthi info on zanussi zwf 12070w1.
(14 month old)
suspect pcb board?
machine fails to go through programme cycle. does not matter which cycle chosen. (wash spin rinse ect)
have checked for blockage at drain pump…pump and all hoses clear.!!
hose has plastic ball insert which is free..hose to pressure switch clear!!
drain hose clear and well off floor can blow air back to drain pump!!
water tap open inlet hose clear plenty water pressure solinoid switch filter clear as are internal inlet hoses..
also checked operation of door switch which appears ok as is operation of delay switch.
when operating… m/c shows green wash light then green door light then stops only leaves the sound of drain pump running no operation of electrical motor or solinoid switches operating ie no water enters machine
removed pcb no sign of corrosion connectors and cable appears ok
examination of board looks ok no sign of burning reassembled still no joy
any suggestion welcome!! can the board be checked…kirkintilloch glasgow area.February 15, 2010 at 11:26 am #311984kneadman

Checking the motor tacho is a good place to start . On the end of the motor , two wires leading up to it – magnet on the end of the armature seems prone to unscrewing itself ……
Good luck .

The tacho won’t affect the machine not starting; it’ll cut the motor and fault as soon as the motor is energised. With the tacho mag unscrewed it would try to go straight into spin speed from rest on the wash cycle. But you are saying the motor doesn’t start at all. 😕
Kneadman, did ‘Lux respond to your e’mail? If the machine is only 14 months old, then they will probably help you. No guarantees, but they are generally sympathetic to such cases. Hopefully you have reassembled the machine exactly as original as a machine that has been ‘messed with’ can be spotted a mile off by the trained eye.
Don’t do any more to the machine as there is little more you can check without spares to substitute.

Had one do the same 2 month back, machine has went to default setting.
Diagnostics need to be accessed to reset machine, this may in turn show a fault code. 😉
