    Hi there.
I’m hoping someone on here can help me ?
    We’ve got a washer dryer that’s 18months old & been used 2/3 times a week.
The other week it packed up – there’s no lights/clock or anything at all
There’s 240v down to the back of the rotary programme selector switch & the contacts inside the switch are clean & contatcing ok.
Where do I check next or is there somethinng that’s a “known issue” with these.
Zanussi have been very unhelpful – Suggesting that we pay for their engineer to come out ( they won’t give me a price ) & if he deems it to be beyond repair they’ll contribute towards a new machine !!!

I think a £400+ machine should last a bit longer than this.
To tide us over we’ve pinched our old Zanussi 10+ years old back off my mother who we gave it to on geting the new one & it’s still going strong.

    Hi.

Sounds very much like the main board has failed. Difficult to know if this is caused by a problem elsewhere of not. Did it fail during a cycle?

    Hi Doctor.
    Thanks for replying.
It was working fine one day, the next – nothing.
I’ve had the top off & main board out – nothing looks burned or damaged in anyway, I was hoping that there’s a capacitor or similar that was known for going wrong ?
My local shop has said it’ll be about £130-!50 for a new board, I did check online & neither EMW or QEM list this model yet, Do you know of someone who could test/repair the main board as a more cost effective option ?
    Many Thanks for your help.
    Peter.
