ParticipantTitle says it all really. The water seems to be coming out from beneath the machine. Definitely not from the door, so I don’t think it’s the door seal – plus have checked all raround it and the rubber seems fine, in place and not perished. We’ve had a problem in the hose at the front before (penny got lodged inside), but that stopped the machine completely. The machine seems to be draining fine, it’s just leaking mid-cycle – from what looks like beneath the machine, although it could be from the back (can’t get it out to check as it’s too heavy to move and is lodged into a tight space). Can anyone help before I fork out £££ to call out a Bosch engineer who won’t be able to come until next week?
Many thanks, AT

Try the repairs@ facility or your local paper to get a local independent engineer who will hopefully charge a lot less than Bosch. The only way to diagnose is to get it out, take the back and lid off and observe where the water comes from.

ParticipantDrat, that’s what I feared. Sadly we don’t have one of those around (as I discovered the last time we had a washing machine issue), so I think it’ll have to be the Bosch guy.
Thanks anyway, AT

ParticipantAllan , what i would say is that if you can’t get the appliance out , then the Bosch engineer will prob struggle too. There’s only so much that we can do if the machine is wedged in so it might be worth trying to get it out for a look yourself anyway. It could be your drain hose blocked and its leaking/backflowing on drain. Can you hear any water splashing when the appliance drains ?

Are you in a remote location then? Perhaps there’s an opportunity for someone to set up a repair business.

I have a similar problem. Did an engineer fix this and if so what did they need to do?
