Hi all, WMA30 intermittantly not spinning, drains fine, carbons fine, p/system fine, is this a common fault which everyone knows except me?!!!!

There is a modified pressure system/sump hose, p/n 1604035 which may be the problem, other than that are you sure its not just a OOB load? They are pretty sensitive to such things.

I would ‘ditto’ all that eastlmark says on this one as the likely fault. They are very sensitive to O.O.Balance loads and only attempt to spin twice in a cycle before aborting. The way to tell if it is an OOB fault is that it leaves the ‘Spin Light’ flashing!

A problem I encounter on this model often is the ball valve in the sump hose blocked or stuck with debris, this can cause strange things to happen, water doesn’t always pump out & pressure switch shows water still in machine so no spin.

Why don’t you put this info in the Public Forums? It would save me 2 calls a week!

Two reasons really, one, we don’t want to (and shouldn’t) encourage the public to repair their own appliances do we ? 😉 Which leads directly to the second reason, these types of calls are bread and butter to many of the guys.

Yeah, but it’s a no faulter the OOB bit – wastes everybodys time.

😳 Sorry I thought you were referring to seamy’s post about eco balls/blocked sumps etc. I agree, it may be an idea to put something in the public forum about OOB problems generally as most manufacturers incorporate this now.

It is already in the FAQ which can be read by the public, but an additional mention in the forums wouldn’t go a miss I suppose.
