KeymasterCould anyone advise where to get a replacement glass for my ceramic hob. Not sure of the make but the sticker says Gunkol EHC60 (blk) (oc16). The glass is Euro Kera. Never heard of these! (My oven is a Zanussi by the way.
Thanks Simon

Gunkol is a Turkish company who sell under the Teba name in the UK. There do seem to be some Gunkol branded appliances around though. Are there any other numbers on the hob ?
It should be OK to obtain the parts though as long as I am able to cross reference it with the relevent Teba information. I’ll check tommorrow for you, but any other numbers you can find on the hob may help.

You’re right. It’s Teba model sold in Curry’s.
Thanks.

I’ve found out the details for the glass top replacement for you, the part is going to be around the £200 mark with postage etc 😯 And it’s out of stock in the UK at the moment so will be several weeks no doubt.
Probably better off replacing the whole hob to be honest. But if you want one ordered I can do so for you, just email me using the button down there.

From my understanding there are 2 manufacturer that makes ceramic glass stove tops…Euro Kera being one of them. They are actually made in France by a company called Multiproget. I have to say my stove top cracked from cooking only after 3 months use and I’ve been having a hard time getting Multiproget to live up to their warranty. Every manufacturer I’ve ever dealt with would be happy to receive a defective product back to run a test on it to improve standards…but not this company. Without even running any test they automatically blamed me for misuse saying there’s no way that their product would crack under normal usage. So be aware that if you purchase EURO KERA and your stove top cracks, you can forget your warranty.
My advice, ceramic glass is fragile even it can withstand high temperatures…they are not as easy to clean as you’d think. I would avoid EURO KERA at all cost.

EuroKera being the manufacturer of the glass does not exclude your guarantee which is with the cooker manufacturer, not the component manufacturer surely ?

The ceramic top should definately be covered under the guarantee especially if its only 3 months old, there could have been a flaw in the ceramic.
I’ve done extensive tests on the products to British Standards which includes dropping weights onto them and even pouring cold water on to the ceramic top after 4 pans have been boiling away happily for 2 hours, and not once did a top break.
I’d certainly fight for a replacement top or even the whole hob, because they have to prove you have misused the hob which is damn near impossible (unless there is a foot print on it of course 😀 )
Good luck

Simon didn’t say his hob was three months old. This statement was made by a Guest who hasn’t given a name.
If Simon has a Teba hob that is under guarantee he should contact Independent Service. We will then arrange for an inspection. As the first post was back in March it is possible that everything has already been sorted.

I think you’ll find that ADP3700 is a built-in oven, not a hob.
