    Hi all

Another thread for another question that I originally asked when asking about “Repairs@” http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=52057.

I am thinking about creating an IT policy and wondered whether the good people of UKW would be able to give me any pointers advice or even share an example of theirs with me.

    Thank you

    Jem

Well Jem I do have a few jems for you and all things “IT”. As you know IT policies can stretch in many differing directions for example : –

    Acceptable Use Policy
    Password Policy
    Backup Policy
    Network Access Policy
    Incident Response Policy
    Remote Access Policy
    Virtual Private Network (VPN) Policy
    Guest Access Policy
    Wireless Policy
    Third Party Connection Policy
    Network Security Policy
    Encryption Policy
    Confidential Data Policy
    Data Classification Policy
    Mobile Device Policy
    Retention Policy
    Outsourcing Policy
    Physical Security Policy

…..and many more I probably have missed?

Tell me, what area of IT policies were you thinking of creating exactly?

    Re: IT Policies

Well from the list you posted I will pick the areas listed below as being the ones that I could do with covering:-

    Acceptable Use Policy
    Password Policy
    Backup Policy
    Network Access Policy
    Incident Response Policy
    Guest Access Policy
    Wireless Policy
    Network Security Policy
    Confidential Data Policy
    Mobile Device Policy
    Retention Policy

I may well end up having to cover other areas at a later date but think that these should be fine for starters.

    Thank you

    Jem
