ParticipantOur trusty Bosch WFF2000 yesterday decided not to drain the water or spin dry at the end of the cycle….. and decided to make a “tut-tut-tut-tut-tut…” noise when it got to that part of the programme….
Moving the programme on, or starting a new programme showed the drum spins and washes…. Just doesn’t seem to drain the water or do the spin…
At the end of the cycle, one of the lights on the switches flashes a few times (not sure which one… pre-wash??)… not sure how many times, but I’m guessing this is a fault code as described by some members on here.
Having read a few posts on here, I’m guessing the pump may be on fritz… trouble is, I don’t have the instruction manual as the washing machine was in the house when we moved in… does anyone have a handy PDF of it? The http://kundendienst.consultens.de/gb/BS … e_Care.htm link doesn’t seem to work for me… (not loading..)
Any pointers as to whether the pump is the likely culprit… and if so, where it would be located? (I’m new to washing machines, but don’t mind getting my hands dirty!)
Many thanks indeed!

The pump filter is behind the plastic kickstrip along the bottom at the front, two small slotted lugs at either end, turn these anticlockwise with a screwdriver or small coin and pull kickstrip off to reveal pump filter.
Place a few towels on the floor, unscrew the small handle to remove it and you may find the cause of the problem there.
If the machine is full of water you should find a small pipe which will allow you to slowly drain the machine into a low bowl or dish.

Hi
You can download instructions here by clicking on the download product manual link. You will need the full enr no. which can be found on the inside of the door.

ParticipantThanks chaps.. do you think it’s the pump at fault…? Should I (and can I??) remove the pump entierly and give it a throough clean? Any other parts int hat area that could be casuing the issue that I should “attack” while I’m down there….?
Many thanks – and thanks for the instruction link!

Just remove and check/clean the small filter assembly, it should be inspected at regular intervals, if its not been out for some time it could be well gunged up.
You can see right into the pump so no need to remove it unless the pump impellor has come adrift or the pump is so badly worn that it will not run correctly.

ParticipantOk, will do…. also, the link to the manuals you posted (thanks again)… I don’t have the full number, but WFF2000 brings up abouta dozen different manuals…. none of which are unfortuantly in English…. doh!
Maybe if I put the correct number in when I get home and check it it will come up….

Indeed, the full enr no. will be something like WFF2000GB/ ?? the last two digits are just as important as the rest of it when it comes to model identification.

The instruction book is obsolete, I also tried to get one early last year, Bosch will let you order it then the day after e-mail to apologise and refund your money saying it is no longer available. There are plenty of German ones about though.

My first posting:–
I have had a similar problem with my machine. It had not drained and did not go int the final spin. The pre wash light was blinking in a sequence of 3 blinks. I turned the power off to the machine and removed the wet clothes.I drained the machine as detailed in the thread. There was no obvious foreign body to stop the pump impellor rotating. I turned it a few times by hand to ensure it was free to rotate.
I put the wet clothes back into the machine, set it final rince and switched the power back on. The machine completed the full cycle and spun the clothes.
This has happened a couple of times in the last couple of months. Does this indicate the the pump is about to fail?
I replaced the brushes in the main motor about 18 months ago. At that time the drum would not turn at any point in the cycle. ( The pre wash light was doing 4 blinks then.)
