ParticipantThe above machine leaks from the dispenser during the rinses.
If I put the machine on to rinse I can’t replicate the fault. I got the customer to switch the machine off as soon as it does so I can hopefully see what it’s doing.
On the first rinse during fill it sounds as if the water going through the dispenser to tub hose is bubbling back and then runs out the dispenser front.
I have cleaned the small hose between the tub and waste vent, cleaned the hose between the dispenser and tub.
Checked the pressure chamber. The inlet valve still has the restrictor fitted and the machine is not tilting forward.
Any suggestions as to what could be causing this.

Maybe it would be best to remove the dispenser top for a closer look?

Worth a check but I can’t see why this would cause the water to ‘glug’ up the dispenser to tub hose, any water that comes through the dispenser lid will have to run to the back of the drawer, if the dispenser lid is blocked the water will run down the back into the same area so I don’t see why it would make any difference. Usually when these block it doesn’t take the fabric conditioner which is not a problem with this one.
The odd thing with this it only appears to happen during a rinses following a wash. When you put the machine straight on to any program or rinse it can’t be replicated. I guess we have to put that down to the law of Sod!
The customer is giving another try following my last visit, if it comes back again (which wouldn’t surprise me I will strip and clean the dispenser lid.

Just another thought……The ball valve in the sump hose could be sticking and causing water to shoot up the dispenser/tub hose maybe???

Thanks Martin,
I had considered this but thought that once it starts to fill it would be closed against the tub anyway.
If it sticks shut could it cause this?

ParticipantDid you take off the hose between drawer and tub to clean it or just clean it in-situ ?
It sounds like the hose is blocked but if its been properly cleaned then its a weird one.
Oh , and as well as cleaning the hose between rear of tub and container , did you clear out the tube where it connects to the container and the container itself ? ?

First visit I cleaned it in situe, last visit I removed it completely and cleaned thoroughly, there was a bit of gunge inside but I didn’t think enough to cause a problem unless it affects the flow slightly causing turbulence.

Not sure which container you are referring to? I did clean both drawer and tub where the dispenser to tub hose fits and I cleaned the air break in the drain hose and the hose between.
I’m waiting until the customer uses it tomorrow to see if it’s resolved.
