    Hi all

For the main fridge I have set my heart on a Drawer Fridge, I may be missing something but the only options I can find are the Hotpoint NCD19 1L (900mm), the Whirlpool ARG912 (900mm) or the IKEA Nutid BC154 (800mm).
The Ikea one will no doubt be a pain to integrate into our non Ikea kitchen (though assume made by Whirlpool?).

    Any reccomendations or alternatives?

    Thanks !

    Hi

Seems a lot of money for not a lot of storage if you ask me. Yes it will look good in the kitchen and probably will be a talking point. Take the Hotpoint, it has a net capacity of only 5.5 cu feet. You can achieve the same amount of storage in a 60cm wide freestanding under counter larder for a fraction of the cost. Perhaps I`m just too practical and too long in the tooth 😆

The concept of fridge drawers in the UK is similar to the dishdrawer, popular in New Zealand and parts of Oz yet to take off in the UK. As a result limited availability, low volume sales which equals the high ticket prices.

If I had to choose one I would probably go with the Hotpoint with it`s five year parts warranty and cheaper cost of parts after that.

Another option would be an integrated tall larder as you mentioned in one of your previous posts.

    HTH 🙂

Ahh yes, but it is a kitchen after all, lets not bring logic in to it or we will all be out of a job! 😯

The tall space is reserved for the freezer mentioned in Pt I

The Hotpoint it is then! Thanks !

Next ..Pt III : Integrated Milk and Beer Fridge (different part of the Kitchen), rather not spend too much money on this one as it will literally be for milk and beer. Though an ice compartment would be usefull for making cubes.
Any suggestions I have seen a few they all look the same with different price tags!

    Cheers !

    Hi Paul

Larder fridges are always cheaper than ice box ones, again it`s a volume thing.

Yes they are all the same in essence. Some will last longer than others depending on how much you are prepared to spend.

Irrespective of which brand you buy give it as much ventilation as possible.
