Ikea/Whirlpool DWF415 flooding

Hi newby here, hope to find help.

I came home tonight to be told the washing machine’s packed up. After ripping it to bits, finding the fault and ordering new brushes & heater the wife says “Great.. when that’s fixed can you finish fixing the cupboard we used to call the dishwasher!” 😳

Its an IKEA Whirlpool DWF415.
The problem was/still is that the bottom tray keeps filling with water, actvating the float valve and switching the thing off without draining. I can force it to drain by holding down the on button for a few seconds, but once the tray is full that’s it, it stops and won’t drain ’till I empty the tray. I thought it was a faulty door seal, so I replaced that but still floods the tray. Then I cleaned out the filter to the pump as i believe these can get blocked with grease (boiling water first from inside the machine, then took it off the bottom for a good look, it seems fine). Then it was the turn of the float valve…removed it, cleaned it and checked for open circuit and basic operation….again it seems fine.
What I did notice was that the 2 clear plastic pipes that run down either side then drain into the tray seem to be putting all the water into the tray, is this normal?
