Just read an article in a local paper “Employers face cash claims for hurting the feelings of dismissed workers”
A decision was announced by the Court of Appeal for employees dismissed unfairly. Now these employees can also claim compensation for damaged feelings as well as financial loss.
The suggestion is that they can claim substantial damages for injured feelings even if the quickly obtain a new similarly paid job.
An ex local council employee has just been awarded £10,000.

This compensation culture is everywhere you know, I’m not aversed to having a go myself. In fact, I was about to sue the local county council chairman for calling me ( in front of a packed meeting hall) a “LICKSPITTLE”. I was most angry and indignant about it until a colleague whispered in my ear and said it meant sycophant. I said “Are well, that’s me right enough!”

It just so happens that MAYTAG are one of the companies with a cheque book open and ready to write cheques for damaged feelings,In fact if you complain enough they will write enough cheques to cover the cost of the appliance…in one instance the customer said after a repair” this isnt going to happen again is it ” the answer dont be silly or daft its a one off it doesnt normally happen (tongue in cheek,lying through your back teeth as you go to at least 2 a week).
For this a customer receives a cheque for £100.00.
as it happens now..question:-do you get many of these ? answer as honest as possible: ive done 6 already this week madam and its only tuesday. 😈
