    Hi Everyone,

hopefully you can help me out. The dryer trips the RCD sometimes immediately and sometimes after a few seconds. Took the lid off and checked to see whether there were any visably loose or damaged wires and I couldn’t see any.

    Any advice is gratefully appreciated.

Edit: Title changed to reflect new info.

Just found out the machine was recently moved from 1 property to another, it was transported on its back and the tank wasn’t emptied fully or properly. I unscrewed the rear panel and it the elements and wire terminals are wet.

You can either wait for it to dry out or speed up the process using a hair dryer.

Thanks for your reply. Took the side and back panels off. As the back came off about 300ml of water spilled out onto the floor. Used a hairdryer to dry out the elements and anything else that was wet.

It appears to be working now. Fingers crossed.

Anyway I’ve learnt from the stupidity that caused this problem.

    Thanks again,

    G
