Acquired a Whirlpool ADG 923 from a friend and have used it plenty of times with no problem. It is now failing to pump out water mid cycle. Removed arms and cleared the dishwasher of any food bits but still not working on all three cycles. Wondering if this is just a pump problem and easy to replace and fit myself or something more complicated that requires a tech.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

You can access the drain pump by removing the lower cover panel. It’s a twist fit.

    Power off first, please.

thanks Penguin45, is there a way to test the pump, if it is the problem, once I’ve removed it?

    thanking you in advance!

If a foreign body falls out of the pump chamber when you remove the pump, you won’t need to test the pump. 😀

Otherwise, a resistance check should show 190-240 ohms.
