ParticipantCome up against this stupid brick wall again that LG seem to have built to prevent you accessing their spares parts in a timely fashion.
The wholesaler I mainly use (Qualtex) tell me that the only part they stock is a door boot for the WM12331FDK that I require a heater for and as they take weeks to get a reply from LG suggested I go direct!! That’s a laugh, direct means (Seme) who told me, wait for it, “the only part they stock for the said model is a door boot and if I would supply an email or postal address (wont phone me back) they would enquire the availability and cost” Time to wait for a reply, up to 5 days. That’s before I even order it!!
The heater is probably a bog standard from some other make but was loathed to take it out and look for as you may well know its not always possible to put back an old heater successfully.
Anyway, have disconnected it for the time being so Mrs Customer can at least rinse and spin.
Any pearls of wisdom greatly appreciated, better still a heater….
End of rant… 👿March 8, 2010 at 7:25 pm #314277Lawrence

Nothing listed on Connect for that model. I had to do an LG heater once and a Hotpoint WM series fitted perfectly. Also, if you tap in LG heater to Connect’s search box, that’s the one that’s top of the list.
Take the old one out; if it doesn’t go back in too easy, shave the grommet down a bit with a craft knife and use a bit of debor.

Fitted a WM (1602026) Hotpoint heater today to an LG: my own LG has a WM heater in it (2 years ago); in fact the grommet on the WM heater is thicker than the LG so it goes in further, so no risk of it pulling out (as poor Martin had some time ago with a pattern Bosch heater).
The WM element is about an inch shorter but still fits comfortably under the heater bracket. 😉HTH,
Steve.

there are a couple of different types of element used on LG one has a slight angle on it not straight. drop off the fdk in connect search.
