    went to this not draining, was just goin to take pump off but noticed. the slot were small float went an wee cap wer missing they cant find them. shud this dw have them or is ther a modified type of base not needing the float? ta and do you need them if missing 😥 ?

    You can easily answer that question adv by going to the BSH site and having a look yourself. Maybe a tip for the future though perhaps as I have done that for you and can confirm it doesn’t have a magnet float. It uses the impellor jug flow control system instead. 😉

    hi martin i did have look at there site. cudnt see a float in diagrams but did have float part listed.why has the sump base got the slot for the magnet to go then strange?

    The magnetic float system was scrapped in favour of the new impellor jug system and it wasn’t necessary to retool the production line or remould the tub base unit. Hence the recess still incorporated in later versions and difficult to tell them apart. One way you can tell however is that all the impellor jug versions also don’t have the T20 fixing screws holding the bottom plate on. They did away with the necessity of 2 screws by enlarging the baseplate so that they now latch under lugs on either side. And just a flick of a screwdriver releases the baseplate….easy! Clever Bosch 😉
