My WF000 is 4 years and 9 months old. It has recently started to sound like a jet engine when fast spinning but is otherwise quiet. I assume this is due to the drum bearing wearing out. From what I can gather, replacement of the bearing is a major job with this model and may require complete drum replacement ? Any opinions as to whether I should replace the machine or use the 5 year parts guarantee and pay the labour charges ? Not sure what labour charge is likely to be but it will be money I could put to the cost of a new machine. Thanks in advance for any comments.

    Hi

Hotpoint labour charge is £109 plus the VAT IIRC, if you do decide on replacing it then get something decent like a Bosch or Zanussi.

    HTH 🙂
