None of them work. BIG hammer and a drift does….

You actually need 2 kits, the one for the old WM machines then the additional kit that upgrades it to also cover the larger drum models. Part numbers are 5600130 & 5600172 respectively. As they say, they don’t work if the large bearing has broken up though. I have an insert that I had made to fit in the groove of the WMA outer race. That also doesn’t work though unless I weld it to the race with the MIG. 🙁

Big hammer, good long drift with a decent edge on it, & ear protection. Heat from blowtorch & releasing fluid for really stuck ones.
Have not failed with this technique yet 😉
The noise from doing it this way also has the effect of clearing all but the most determined punters from the kitchen.. leaving you in peace :tup:March 12, 2010 at 1:18 pm #314744Martin

These kits are pretty useless in removing the old bearings as many have mentioned earlier. But the kits do a fine job in putting the new bearings and seal in place far better than the hammer and chisel method. But the kits are very very costly these days.
However, for what it’s worth UKW does sell a BEARING REMOVAL KIT in case you are interested razor?

Bad news…. it went up in price a bit, sorry.
The good news is there’s three new sizes included now. 🙂
I’m waiting on prices for the new shell bits for the people that already have a kit as well as prices for the bolt etc.
