Hi guys need help with my Bosch Exxcell 1200 WFO2465GB.

The machine keeps washing no matter what programme is selected apart from cold wash?
The light on the panlel stays on washing and timer goes down to 1 minute but just sticks. as if it keeps washing. Turns the drum slowly one way and slowly the other.

Ive read other posts saying it could be the heater but during the cycle if i feel the door it is warm so must be heating the water. Have checked the coil and im getting 26 ohms! Have checked all the obvious water in isn’t blocked. Water out is bent or blocked. Drain pump is clear and working okay.

The only way i can overcome this is to wait until it gets stuck. Stop the programme and then select “Rinse/Freshen up” which will do the rinse drain and finish!

    Any help most appreciated….

Heater can have an earth leak and still appear to function. A multimeter is not capable of testing the heater with an applied 500V. The heater is the likely culprit.

Power off before any investigation. :plug:

How easy is it to remove as it looks difficult?

Also can i bench test it by applying 240v to it to see if it heats up?

To remove the heater:- Undo the nut to the end of the thread and tap the stud in. Remove the wires. Then gently prise the heater out with a screwdriver.

Testing the heater:- You need to read my post again. This site will not condone live testing. Bench testing the heater is both pointless and dangerous. You MUST not attempt this. The heater is not designed to work out of water and will fail quickly. This is pointless. The heater could be live and if you touch it……:zap: This is dangerous. Even if you don’t touch it, feeling it get hot proves nothing. You already said in your original post that the water was warm. 😕 The integrity of the heater’s insulation is in question here and if you do not have an insulation tester that will perform a 500V earth leak test in controlled conditions then it cannot be done safely.

But I’ve already told you what is wrong. 😕

You could perhaps try a cold wash and see if the machine completes the cycle…..
In this case the heater isnt used I guess and it should eliminate or confirm the problem for you.

The other possibility is a dodgy control board perhaps

Possibly an NTC,Pressure switch or module problem.
