    called to this dryer yesterday for no heat and rplaced the usual stats.
    although all is working ok the water neon is glowing faintly.
    any ideas on how to cure this.

    Could be a duff neon of course? If you operate the float switch will it light up OK? When that neon glows faintly how many volts are applied to it?

    It could be damp around the element too. i have seen it glow because of this. When the stats fail it circulates damp air so a lot of the time when i change stats there is dampness around the element.
