    Hi guys,
    The oven on my G70m ignites ok and seems to be functioning normally for a short period of time, then the clock resets itself and the gas turns off.
    I had a local gas engineer look at it and he suggested it may be the circuit board but he seemed unsure and now is uninterested in repairing.
    Could anyone verify that the circuit board is the problem or suggest alternative likely fault causes.

    No, the fan does not appear to be working at all.

    Bingo, its not necessarily the fan itself though there are other controls that affect the fan, you need a gas safe engineer to repair it even though the fault is electrical as the fan also supplies air to the oven and grill burner, done wrong and it can become an immediately dangerous appliance.
