KeymasterI have an Indesit FM 20 oven that has, on the door, its inner glass glued to the door frame… This glue has perished, so I am trying to find a suitable sealant/glue with which to reattach the glass… Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.April 10, 2004 at 1:30 pm #110680Dave_Conway

Yes 🙂
We have the very stuff here, developed by another manufacturer for exactly the same purpose.
Send me an email or “PM” me and I can arrange to send you a tube.
Dave.

Yes it is a complete “Inner Door Panel/Glass Assembly” possibly Part No: C00090770 Cost around £30 complete (Need better clarification on the exact oven Model No. and Serial No. though).
It cannot, repeat, cannot be glued as for safety reasons is assembled under factory conditions, any tampering may cause the whole glass unit to shatter. A full replacement the only logical/practical solution !

Thanks for those two tips… A little confused now though…
The model no. is FM20KIXGB
Serial No. 10627 0051The inner panel unscrews easily, allowing easy access to reglue, although I do take on board the safety issue, it seems that it could be OK to DIY it.
I await further comments with bated breath, and an uncooked duck.

Either way is fine. Personally I would recommend a complete inner door panel/glass unit assembly at around £27. Part number however is : C00075055 now that we have the full model number that is.

I have exactly the same problem as the original post and have just bought a replacement oven door assembly. However, it’s not apparent (to me) how to replace the thing.
Don’t suppose you could point me in the direction of some instructions could you?May 15, 2004 at 3:42 pm #110688Dave_Conway

Keith, you will need to remove the whole door from the cooker first, instructions on how to do this should be in the user manual. the door will seperate by removing some screws from the underside of the door from memory.
Hope that helps.
Dave.

Hi,
I normally use a heat resitant glue (forgot the name) to repair oven doors where the inner door has come unstuck. Some ovens are heavily used and the oven door is solid. Whirlpool doors are very expensive to replace – they cost from £70-150 to replace just one section.June 29, 2004 at 12:33 pm #110690admin
