I looked through the Common Questions list, and yes, I know this is in there. But I have a few other questions to go with that.

We had a neighbourhood power outage last night. When it came back on, we were still having issues with the shower pump/kitchen circuit. Finally narrowed it down this this morning to the dishwasher. It was free from a friend, and has been working happily for at least 4 months.

When we pulled it out, there was a good puddle under it, and down along the wall under the sink. So it’s been going for a while. We saw that the hose had a dry cobweb around it, so it’s not the hose connection to the washer. I went to tip it up so hubs could see underneath where the water was coming from, and water poured out.

Now, I have a niggling memory of water coming out of the bottom of a washer when you move it, yes? So how do we know what the problem is if water comes out *anyway*? And if water isn’t supposed to come out (hubs said it was coming out from around the metal plate on the bottom of the washer), what do we start with to fix it?

Thanks for any replies. I’ve learned a ton from this site, and I really appreciate any help.

I can only suggest that you remove the front lower cover plate, get a torch and observe. Niggly little drip drip problems which aren’t the drain or fill hose can be an absolute pain to track down.

Thank you! I didn’t even know we could do that, so that’s already a big help.
