I’m looking for an inexpensive 90cm range cooker, black or cream, dual fuel – at the moment my eyes are on the Leisure 90 which has been reviewed well elsewhere. Any tips?

The only other worthy contender in frame would be the Rangemaster products but you would need to up the budget a bit.
Otherwise I would go with the Leisure if the £1000 budget is your limit.

No experience of them I`m afraid. Looking at their website the products look good and the five year guarantee would give me confidence as a consumer in the product.
I see also they are dispalying at the KBB show this week, so they must be upmarket hoods and prices no doubt.

If you want the range to last then buy a Rangemaster, If you want to buy rubbish that WILL break and be ready for throwing away in a few years time then get the Leisure, I work on both products and can tell you straight that the Leisure that is made by Beko is in no way a “good range”under a grand in fact I dont think there is a good range under a grand, for a few quid more you will get a far superior product.

buy from an independant retailer tho, you will get a much better deal than by going direct to luxair!

I’d broadly agree with wsts,, I haven’t seen a good range cooker for under a grand. Seemingly good deals, yes, but good machines, no.
Good and cheap rarely go together and I’m unimpressed by the various Leisure clones, Kenwwod, CDA etc. stuff and a lot of the GDHA stuff which encompasses Stoves, New World and Belling.
Rangemaster is a better buy and parts once you need them aren’t horrifically priced.

Many thanks for advice. Maybe we’ll splash out. Anyone seen a Classic 90 dual fuel for less than £1450? Alternatively, is the Kitchener of similar quality, because Dixons are actually selling that for £999.

The Kitchener is fine, same rangemaster quality and parts used, £1259 is best I’ve seen for the classic 90.

Sorry to broaden this discussion but I am looking for a 60cm dual fuel cooker as our is on the way out. Have been looking at the Smeg stuff like the SUK62MBL5 or SUK61MBL5 these seem well built to me dont know much about Smeg as a company other than that we don’t seem to get a lot of enquires for their repair. Does Smeg manufacturer their own products and what about spares ? Having looked at the New World, Belling, Stoves stuff I was’nt that impressed.
