ParticipantI don’t know if its an error, but Masterparts price for above 1600474 carbons has gone up from £3.99 to £12.49.
Have I missed something?

I would have to say that I would give them the benefit of the doubt and it is probably a genuine mistake, unless someone knows otherwise.
I do hope they are not trying to cash in on the armature/obsolete thing, as far as I know the brushes are still and will be for some time, available.
But they are still overpriced at £3.99, I sell them for less than that to local traders in 10’s and I sure ain’t a national spares wholesaler.

Part price back down this morning to £4.49, so still a high price though…

It is yes, you have to buy 200 at a time to get the best rate from GDA(which they must be) but they are overcharging by quite a bit.
Tell them you will only pay £3.99 max or go elsewhere.
It annoys me a little that this sort of thing happens, especially on high turnover spares like this, a 50p increase when you sell 1000’s is a lot of extra dosh, and I know what they are paying for them, and it is not a lot higher than last year. Put it this way, they are making a higher {e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} than you probably are on them.

Just queried the prices with Masterpart.
In tens the brushes are £3.49, so at least thats more reasonable.
On the whole they seem to have lower prices than most, but specials can take months.

Hopefully the 1600474 will be available for many years to come. Since the demise of the Hotpoint Armature though I wonder if that would be true?
Better stock up on them too just in case?

Only to trade account customers Mark, and only in 10’s. I also buy them direct from GDA in 200’s so I get them at the wholesale price.
