    can i revive this post.
    i have this model which in diagnostics is showing e33.
    i have fitted new element which made no change.
    the motor has good insulation on field coils but is lower although i’d think acceptible at 4.5Mohms across the brushes/armature.
    customer says fault is irregular. i.e. can run for weeks no probs. today just wouldn’t work at all.
    any help appreciated.

    One word… NIGHTMARE

    I’ve had quite a few of these over the last two and a half years since my original post. Also had many problems with the washer dryer versions.

    I think most of these faults are now computer control board faults. I had some success with quite a few by changing the wash heater (or, on the washer dryer, by disconnecting the dryer heater). For whatever reason this seems to work far less now. Not sure why.

    How old is the machine? Check customer paperwork if poss as I find that they constantly under-estimate age.

    The problem is that new control boards for these are pretty expensive and part numbers vary a lot and even one model number can have two or three possible control modules meaning that you’re unlikely to find use for a control board if you mis-diagnose the fault.

    If this machine is fitted with a digital pressure switch then it might be worth taking it off and banging it around a bit.

    thanks for reply. you’ve basically confirmed what i thought. ie circuit board. whereas i regularly repair circuit boards id feel happier if the fault was consistent before having a go.
    to be honest i’d never go down the route of buying a new board. its always a lot less stress to walk away.

    If the client is nearby then it’s always worth popping a new digital pressure switch on the machine and let them try it for a week or two.
