    Hoping someone can give me some honest advice.

    I have a Premium Appliance Brand DW 009 dishwasher for about 2 years.
    I know they are probably made in China.

    I keep getting the error code E3 which relates to “Malfunction of temperature sensor or of heating element” and the manual replies “call a qualified service technician”.

    The company has gone bust and after searching for possible answers to the error code I could not find anything on this good site.

    Basically 1. Is it worth getting it fixed and how much does anyone think??

    and 2. Should I save my money and buy a decent make of dishwasher for which I will take suggestions……

    To answer your 2 points:-

    1) It could be the heater element faulty or the cut out has gone open circuit. Test both for continuity; both should show a closed circuit with the heater showing some resistance. Power OFF before any inspection begins – no live testing!! :plug:

    But if the fault can be found and the part is reasonable, then a repair will keep it off the landfill for a little longer. Emphasis on the words “a little longer.“


    2) Almost certainly has the charm of the Orient……..does it have a triangular sump filter? That is the stainless part of the filter assembly. If it does, then it is a Chinese made Indesit clone.
    Now to explain the level of quality of this product. Indesit dishwashers are…..well, dreadful – and the Chinese clones of them are cheap versions of a dreadful machine. 🙁 Not a good start.
    Bosch, although more expensive, will give a better life with less hassle and down time. Do your research (ask on here and we will be brutally honest with you) and buy something better. That will not be difficult.

    The latter is the best bet…….. 😉

    THIS is probaly the culprit. It’s screwed to the underside of the tub.

    Part is cheap enough, finding a repairer prepared to take the job on may be more problematical.

    oh and to confirm your question aqualectric YES it is a triangle sump so one of China’s finest!!!!

    Im looking at Bosch ones already thinking that if I do get this repaired its staving off the inevitiable…..
