KeymasterI had a flash of inspiration in the car today, I think about stuff while belting up the motorway. 😉
I was thining that with the advent of the shop module going live we could maybe move some old stock for people fairly easily. We’ll take the order for it and then just tell you who to send it too, be that trade or otherwise.
What you need to do is the following:
Work out a trade price (in case and fellow UKW member wants the part)
Add 35{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} MARK UP to that price, if you don’t know how to add a mark up properly then ask!
A photo if possible of the part
Trade will get list less 30{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}, UKW gets 5{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}
Retail you get list less 15{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} for UKW coffers
You will need to give a brief description and a general condition of the part as well as the details of what it’s for. The reason for that is that Google will index the pages so, hopefully, any search on Google etc will turn up the page so the better the description the better the chance of flogging it.
Anyway, if you dead stock you want to move then email it to me and I’ll get it listed on the shop module and just maybe turn some of the old crap you have into cash, that can’t be bad can it? 😉
I need to think this out a bit more and get some feedback from you guys on it but to me it’s manna from heaven to turn old crap into hard cash! And, it’s not really costing anything for you to do it either if it was dead stock anyway.

Your flash of inspiration was indeed heeded by many of us, I am sure. I personally was a little confused in that I wasn’t sure what the ‘Shop Module’ was you refer to? 😳 (I felt I shouldn’t ask at this stage, perhaps I should know? and felt sure someone else would enlighten me soon enough)
Also, not altogether sure what kind of spares you were thinking of as an example we should put forward to your plan? 😳

KeymasterSee the whole thread in this forum about the shop module called “A Little Experiment…” which you even replied to. 😉
What I mean is sticking up unused/unwanted stock to sell on either to the trade or public at whatever you think it’s worth, within reason of course, just to claw back some cash that’s dead money sitting on the shelf.
There is now an OS Commerce module (only site admin can see it while we sort it out) that can handle litterally thousands of products. I thought that this was a nice positive way of putting it to good use for you lot.

Sorry old chap, now I know where your coming from. 😳 Forgive me being a bit thick as my mind full of Mondays woes and all. Its just I didn’t associate your last Saturdays flash of inspiration with Dave and the CES thread.
Too many threads and this old b*gg*r gets confused. (You young bucks have got this to come you know!)
With you now all the way, yes, yes. Will start rummaging my dusty shelves stacked full of priceless items than many will simply drool at the chance of buying……………… ❗ ❗

No we know it, we’re just ignoring it as best we can. 😉

You never know and I just skipped countless thousands worth of spares as well! 🙁
However I’m sure I will have stuff to get shot off just like everyone else.
