    Hi All,

    Hope you can help me with some advice – I have a Bosch Exxcel Dishwasher which has served me well but lately has either not started its program (remains at 130 time left in auto clean) or fails to complete (reaches around 38-52) its program.

    Lately it only works once out of about six or seven attempts.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

    When it fails to start, does it make any noises at all?

    Hi,

    From the outside it sounds like a humming noise, and when you open the door usually the dishwasher stops, but when the fault occurs it keeps going and sounds like water sloshing around inside (presumably the pump?), although there is never any water in the dishwasher.

    Are there some simple checks I can do to try and see what the problem is.

    If the pump noise continues with the door open, the flood protection system is activated due to water in the base tray under the machine. You’ll need to drain it out to re-set, then find the leak.

    Power off first if you intend to tackle this yourself.
