Sorry no model no. About 5 yr old with the closed back except for the lower plastic access panel like on WMA. Pulley is plastic and held by hexagon head bolt. Old belt was a bit frayed, had popped it back on a few months ago and returned yesterday with new (pattern) part from M’pt. as customer had rung saying off again. Today got message saying the new belt had come off. It was an 1150 where the old one was 1158.
I had checked for a spider fracture and found none, bearings fine. Could the plastic pulley be distorted? Or is it perhaps a jumping motor due to a connection somewhere? It worked smoothly when I was there. Drains fine, too.

Pulley bolt can work loose and the pulley appears to run true – until it’s loaded….

I got caught out with one of these recently – in the end just swapped pulley and belt. Not particularly expensive, job done.

Thanks, Chris. I’ll give that a go.

Check the rear motor mounting on the tub. Perhaps the plastic bush is missing or the bracket is broken.
