ParticipantJust got a new spangly ISE 10 but my sons little hands got in too quick and he set a program off before we had put any washing in.
So my wife turned the machine off by the power button and then we carried on as normal starting a new wash cycle.
BUT the first wash didn’t give and END prompt and just stopped with nothing on the display, then she did another wash which went through ok but now the first wash cycle that my son started keeps reshowing on the panel.
Is there a ‘super cancel’ type combination to get rid of this ??
Also is there any reason why the washer would just stop on a wash cycle ??
The drain hose is plumbed in under the sink into the same place as the old washer – does this have much of an effect ??
Thanks

Hi Shady,
If you just press and hold the start/stop button the program should reset.
To do a full factory reset…
Hold the start/stop button in when you switch on the main power switch until an LED on the panel lights.
That’s it for resetting, it’s very simple. ๐
At the end of the program it will display “end” but after a while that will go out and only the LED’s will remain lit. This is to prevent burn in on the LED screen and extend its life and, mostly, to save power.
IIRC the machine will flick back to the initial 40รลกC cotton wash as the default when you start it but, that’s purely from memory and so long as the machine wasn’t stopped before another program was completed.

Thanks Ken
The missus is busy catching up on washing after the old Tricity Bendix died a death a couple of weeks ago – pump problems followed by a pressure issue and lots of soap out of the dispenser drawer !!!
Quick question but is there a preferred orientation for the drain hose – I have it currently from the washer down a small loop then back up through the under sink cupboard and then down into the pipework under the sink.
It seems to be draining fine but just wondered if there was a preferred way of setting up the drain hose.
Also is it ok for myself to adjust the rinse option from 3 – 5 via the press and hold option ??
Thanks
Shady

The preferred way is into an open standpipe and not one of those silly spigot things. ๐
However, so long as it meets the height requirements in the book it should be okay. The problem with spigots is that you can (pretty easily and very commonly) get backfilling from the plumbing into the machine.
Fine adjusting the rinse levels, it’s not an issue really and very easy.
I will get around to writing the total cheat sheet for the 10’s as there’s more you can do. ๐

If this is a much better way for the machine to drain, then I can quite easily sever the plastic drain pipe from the sink and add in an upright section as the pipework runs behind the washer anyway and I could put an end cap over the under sink spigot connection.
if you could provide all the ‘cheats’ that would be great !!!
Thanks again
