    Re: BEKO WMA 520S

Isn’t the start switch part of the pcb? Maybe the button is sticking? So needs cleaning and lubricating.

sorry guys , should have mentioned ….

start button is part of pcb and works perfectly ..i thought that at 1st as well but if start button stuck in prog would have started and then cancelled if you get what i mean ..

its a strange one , as wm works perfectly but customer has to be there when it ends so she can switch off at plug ..

i thought she was taking the p , but seen it myself ..

any furhter ideas , appart from hammer etc ???

    cheers

Well, she could time how long her usual programme takes and then use it with one of those plug in digital timers which I think can be set to run to the minute. And they’re only about seven quid.

maybe the machine is a perfectionist and was just not happy with the wash and felt the need to do it again

as for the fault at this point i would be inclined to start taking off every part whilst scratching my head

    Hi.

Have you entered the diagnostic to retrieve the last recorded fault code?

I had a similar fault on an BEKO based ISE machine. Got to end, door unlocked then relocked again after a few seconds. Removing the mains plug was the only way to get the door open.

Turns out it had had some dodgy brushes fitted ( not by me 😉 ) and the arcing was corrupting the PCB.

I had to replace the motor due to severe armature damage.
