Isn’t the start switch part of the pcb? Maybe the button is sticking? So needs cleaning and lubricating.

Well, she could time how long her usual programme takes and then use it with one of those plug in digital timers which I think can be set to run to the minute. And they’re only about seven quid.

maybe the machine is a perfectionist and was just not happy with the wash and felt the need to do it again
as for the fault at this point i would be inclined to start taking off every part whilst scratching my headApril 10, 2010 at 10:56 am #317477TheSpinDoctor

Hi.
Have you entered the diagnostic to retrieve the last recorded fault code?

I had a similar fault on an BEKO based ISE machine. Got to end, door unlocked then relocked again after a few seconds. Removing the mains plug was the only way to get the door open.
Turns out it had had some dodgy brushes fitted ( not by me 😉 ) and the arcing was corrupting the PCB.
I had to replace the motor due to severe armature damage.
