needed a new fan motor which works fine but customer says it stays on when she switches it off, says it was doing that b4 new motor fitted, could it b the stats gone as well

coolling fan will stay on until cabinet cools down…how long does it stay on…if it never goes off check fan initation toc which is in the top cover ( its blue with 4 wires…if it is faulty it goes black!)
