ParticipantThe initial problem was water flooding out from the joint between soap dispenser and the black pipe leading down to the drum. I managed to seal that and now it spills out from the soap dispenser – not when filling, but when on a fast spin.
Which means water is being thrown up the black pipe from the drum, so my next question is….
WHY?
I’ve managed to remove the pipe at the drum and from what I can see there are baffles in the bottom end of the pipe and inside the spigot on the drum to prevent it flying back. All seems clean and baffles are moulded in. Water fill level is just nicely onto the lens of the glass door, so I don’t think that’s the problem and it pumps out OK. Water level sensor pipe is clear of obstructions.
My only thought – Should it be pumping most of the water out prior to starting to spin?

Participantjust take the sump off from the bottom of the drum and clean out the filter, and all will be ok, its a common complaint on washer dryers im afraid
they always appear to be emptying fine, but, trust me, its not

Spot on, thanks 😀
2x bra extender thingummies, 2x wall plugs, 2x £1, 1x 20p, 5x 2p, 4x 1p and a mush of cardboard that might have had some bank note mixed in with it. All working fine now. Should anyone be suffering similar…
There is a plastic moulded panel at the bottom rear, held by two screws. Drain as much water as possible out of the machine first by lowering the drain hose and raising and proping up the rear to improve access. Then loosen the large jubilee clip to the right of the motor, to release the filter. The filter is in the large black flexible hose and once released simply pulls out.

Just take the time to RTFM properly. :rolls:
Check all pockets before you load the machine, don’t wash underwired bras unless you pop them inside an old pillow case or similar.
That amount of junk inside a machine is just downright careless and inexcusable, its worth noting that any one of those coins could have made a huge hole in the outer drum resulting in major expense or even a complete write off.
The operator needs to be taken to task. 😉 🙂
