hi we need a comp for an american f/frzr however i need to know will a universal go on or has it a special start device?

supposedly it has a box on the side with 3 wires blue 4,white 1 and red according to the cust.

You need the actual make and number of the compressor so you can cross reference,cubic capacity of the compressor (CC’s / displacement) is also important,more so than horse power to get as near to the original as possible.

I did one last week after some advice from Bryan (R600a) Im assuming its the american side by side. If you are replacing it with like for like you can fit a standard 1/3 hp on R134a, if you want to retro it to R600a you can fit a 1/4 hp. 8)

thanx for reply it is the side by side but i was a little concerned by the 3 wires going to 3 different terminals on start device.
