ParticipantHi all,
My zanussi dishwasher DES959 has started showing an error code of AL6 and now just pumps water out when the cycle starts then it stops and shows AL 6 in the window.
Can anybody help???
Thanks

🙄
Usual advice really.
Check filters and make sure the water supply is ok.
With dishwashers the ease of draining is important as it saves problems in the future, SO make sure the waste pipe is clear ALL the way along its length (even after it has connected with your sink waste), hope that it is as simple as that.
Good luckApril 21, 2004 at 6:56 pm #110919Martin

Barry,
Can you provide us with the PNC number of your machine? That can be found on the rating plate below the model number.

OK bit long winded but here’s the reasons for AL6.
a. Domestic drain outlet unsuitable (obstructed)
b. Drain pump disconnected / jammed
c. Pressure switch faulty (jammed on 1-3)
d. IWMS – pressure switch tube obstructed
e. Drain filters clogged
f Control board (Relay/Triac faulty)Rather you than me is all I can say. 🙄

Thanks for all your help so far.
Ok, I’ve spoken to the local zanussi engineer who says that it’s either the change kit??? or the water softener??? as it’s a filling problem.
So, I’ve already spent £130.00 on a new motor from zanussi 3 months ago. I can get a new one of these for £232.00 from amazon. I’m asking myself is it worth it?? how reliable are these things anyway??
PNC is 911886007
Thanks in advance

You’re going to end up paying more to get in fixed in the last 3 months than cutting your losses and buying a BOSCH.
I know what I would do!
