Hi, Sister in-laws drum bearing has failed quite spectacularly. I can get a bearing assembly for about £70 which just bolts in to the drum housing, or a bearing kit for about £16 which involves getting the old pair out and drifting thenew one in. I’ve never known a replacement bearing go in without a lot of grief and blood. Is there any easy way to replace the bearings themselves, or is it going to be easier and more cost effective to replace the assembly? Given the age of the machine is it cost effective to replace the bearings if there will be more problems ahead? 🙁
