3 of my customers booked service calls in for this week for repairs to be done after they got back from their Easter holidays abroad. I would advise anyone that booked calls to go to customers after the Easter school break-up to at least try ringing them before calling.

I rang one, this morning early, just as a precaution, who turned to be still stuck in New Zealand unable to fly home any time soon. Their airline has booked 100’s of UK bound passengers into a hotel in Auckland until they can take off but won’t pick up the tab for their additional cost. Seems the insurance companies don’t want to know either – act of God apparently? -Whoever he is :rolls:

Close relative with 3 children paying £500 a day for accommodation and food (he is in mauritius, not the worse place to be),he can get £200 per day back from insurance, argument is that you wouldn’t be eating or accommodated free if you were back home, there is a cost .
Tough under the circumstances but as is often said on this board, nothing in life is free.

Martin, you obviously have a completely different class of customer to me, I have had no such problems at all…………

……………..as they have all put their private yachts to good use to bring them home. 😮
