ParticipantHi all
I’m looking for an oven element for a Teka UN-BUD720S oven. Its an 1800w item. I’ve looked in the usual places and seen lots of 2000w Teka oven elements for sale but no 1800w. Also, although the 2000w elements Ive seen have the same spacing between the 2 connectors (55mm), the actual element is slightly bigger than the one I have taken off. Would I be able to use the 2000w item or does anyone have any idea of where to find the 1800w item I need?
Many thanks!!

Hi Dave,
Nothing much comes up for that model number but, it does look like a good number.
I take it you mean this element is the one you’ve seen?
If you can give me dimensions and, even better, a photo, I’ll probably be able to suss out what it is for you as you really don’t want pay the full Teka price if you can avoid it. I’m betting about £30 or more for the genuine element, which will almost certainly be used in something else, cheaper.

Thanks for the reply. The dimensions on the part you have pasted up are identical to mine including the gap between connections. Mine is slightly different on the connections however…
1) The photo of the part you have linked to has 90 degree angled +/- connectors, mine are vertical.
2) The photo shows a threaded bolt in the centre of the fixing plate which looks like its an earth connection – mine does not have this bolt at all.
3) The photo shows a 3rd stubby, flat connector – mine has another vertical connector for earth about 3/4 of the height of the +/- connectors.
On the subject of the earth connector, this was not connected when I removed the element – is this correct.
Obviously, the final point is that the part you have listed is a 2000w where mine is marked 1800w – does that matter?
Thanks again!
Dave

Hi Dave,
It looks like a model in which the element hasn’t been used as yet so I’m guessing it’s not that old and there is little information on it.
I can put in what they call a PNE but it’d be Monday at best before I got an answer and, it would be a part number only that I get so, no possibility of an alternative element. Hence the reason for asking for the dimensions and a photo is possible as that may produce a result.
From what you say, that element won’t fit.
