WTA Council Commitment

Hi guys!

Me again! This has to be raised due to the seriousness of the OFT approval gain.

The WTA started as a few guys in a bar saying ‘Yeah Yeah Yeah’. That was over 2 years ago. We are now in a position where things are starting to happen, and as a result of things starting to happen, peoples time is starting to be called upon more and more.

To be blunt, it’s all very well getting a 10{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} fuel discount, or a buy one get one free kit kat offer for WTA members, but as a whole body, the WTA needs to be more than the odd saving here, the odd saving there. Although those savings are a benefit to our members, they are not why we are here. So that drives me to post this…

The WTA wants to improve the quality of shite that we as independants have to put up with, but also, wants to become, recognised in the UK as THE leading body for Domestic Appliance Repairers.

This has become a realistic target for us. The COP will become the foundation that will let us build on to get this trade into something worth while.

The WTA can be and will stand in very big high heels in our trade one day, but to get there, and maintain that stature, we need a SOLID foundation. A council that are commited to giving up work, loosing money, leaving the wife at home with a cold, passing on the surf day or whatever… So I suppose what I’m asking for chaps, is commitment. Commitment to the WTA… Because when the wheel is turning, if one spoke comes loose, the others fall apart.

I’ve posted a date for the WTA Council meeting… I personally expect everyone to be there, this is quite an important meeting as the OFT wheels are now turning, so if anyone is now thinking ‘Shit, this is a bit heavy’, speak up! Now is the time to restructure (IF NEEDS BE) and re organise the WTA council as we are still in nappies! If anyone drops out when we’re in night pants, that could knock us ALL back into nappies!

I’m looking for commitment now from you all… Please use this thread to confirm your commitment, or ask about doubts, We need to be sure, after May 21st, we have a ROCK SOLID Council.
